Few cities can boast of having such an impressive historical and architectural heritage. The Italian capital, backed by 3,000 years of history, exudes culture at every turn. It was the capital of the Roman Empire and one of the first great metropolises of mankind.
As far as tourism, Rome is one of the most-visited cities in the world. Required stops include the city’s squares, such as Piazza Navona, Piazza San Pietro, and Piazza di Spagna; its countless religious buildings, such as the Pantheon, San Pietro, and the Vatican; its breathtaking constructions, such as Fontana di Trevi, Ponte Sant'Angelo, Castel Sant'Angelo, and the Column of Marcus Aurelius; and its archaeological ruins, such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Other popular destinations include the Vatican Museums and the famous Sistine Chapel. In summary, Rome offers countless tourist and cultural attractions.
